A comment on the Wiki: Public access roads is a basic right
From: http://www.vforvoluntary.com/wiki/WhoWouldBuildTheRoadsLet me start with my initial feeling of Stateless road --------- Very Very Sceptical !!!!!
My Initial unhappiness/scepticism is about the control of movement lying within the grasp of a private body!! Given a private body, it doesn't have to look at the needs. In a moral world the private body will take decision based on value. In a not so morally run business it can take decision just to simply cause trouble. This possibility of abuse is too much and unnecessary.
I am OK with maintenance of the road being governed by a private/public body
The availability of a public access for anyone to move from point A to B must be ensured as a basic right ! and the freedom of movement should never be involved in a trade.
