A question from a Youtube message: Money and utopia
How do you feel about the concept of a utopian society where money is not an issue? I'm not a big fan of "money" (understand how I mean that.. I don't shun away money, make little of it, or vow to, lol), but I see it as a form of control. However, that doesn't mean I'm for the utopian society.
Re: A question from a Youtube message: Money and utopia
In a society with trade, all goods compete with each other in their use as a trade facilitator. So people trade their goods on the market for things they expect other people to want to trade goods for later.
The problems we have today with money are in no way inherent to the concept of money. Instead, the problems derive from the monopolization of money. So the problem is violence, and the ideological support of that violence.
If someone steals your car, the solution is not to have a society without cars.
