A question from the Wiki: How a world fiat currency would play out
From: http://www.vforvoluntary.com/wiki/WhatIsMoneyI'm curious as to your opinion of what the end game would be if a world currency was somehow introduced. I mean how do you see it playing out?
Re: A question from the Wiki: How a world fiat currency would play out
I don't really think it can play out. For a world currency you need a world empire. Empire generally falls under it's own weight.
On the other hand, we already have a world currency, namely fiat currency. It's everywhere. And what is fiat money? It's simply corporate welfare, i.e. systematic wealth redistribution.
As long as people believe in government, i.e. restriction of their own freedom, we're going to have all that bad stuff, including systematic wealth redistribution and control and theft of our money.
